When he accepts help from someone close to him he unwittingly discovers an underworld inhabited by practitioners of powerful black magic, murderers and necromancy.The Ghoul, a Gothic horror, was inspired by the classic Gothic horrors of the 19th century- Dracula, Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, as well as the the social and political writings of Dickens and Dostoyevsky.
